Born September 1937, Shaunovon, Saskatchewan. In 1959 she graduated McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. In 1946 she was designated a Person of National Historic Interest by the National Historic Sites and Monuments Board and a plaque was placed at the Chatham Public Library by the HSM Board. She has an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College in writing and an MFA in Art Criticism & Writing from the School of Visual Arts. (Copper Canyon Press, 2016).
